Scoring was opened by Simon at the 11 minute mark. He beat three players and then drove the ball into the net from 18 meters. That was the only goal of the first half and NB went to the break 1 nil up after playing some very good soccer.
Second half scoring started on the 8 minute mark when Darren beat a couple of players and flicked the ball to Derek on his right who put the ball in the net. The linesman had his flag up for off side however the ref had wised up to the linesman's incorrect calls and awarded the goal.
BB scored the next goal and suddenly the pressure was on. A couple of minutes latter BB were awarded a penalty and it looked like the game would be back to even. Soccer however is a very funny game and Noel made a fantastic save and North Beach supporters breathed a sigh of relief. Then in the next two minutes north beach scored two great goals, The first to Simon Bailey who had broken clear and only had the keeper to beat and then the next by Simon Ralph.
So in the period of three or four minutes North beach went from possibly being 2 all to leading 4 - 1 and the game was effectively over.
Scoring was finished off by Neil Duffy and Kyle scoring late goals. Both were lovely drives from approx 25 meters out.
Great to see six different scorers and this bodes well for the weeks ahead

North beach reserves knew that they would be in for a hard game and this proved to be the case. Scoring was opened by BB after only 5 minutes. North Beach fought back hard but didn't equalize until the 21st minute.
The goal was scored by Russell Sinclair who got his head to a well taken free kick by Daryl. The ball went over the keepers head and in the net.
The score was tied at 1 all at half time and the boys knew they had a lot of work to do in the second half. We may have been further ahead if we had been able to put away some easy chances but this wasn't to be.
Scoring started after three minutes in the second half after George passed a lovely ball to Kyle who finally got one in the net after a number of misses.
Scoring was completed when Heath Sinclair who had come on at half time to replace his brother beat three players and drove the ball into the net.
