Sensational Start to Womens Soccer

Once again the women have shown grit and guts in season 2007.

Div 4 began at Kingsway in the rain and despite being hammered 8 - 0, their gutsy display was enough to stop the local police in their tracks, watching in awe as the ladies toughed it out. There was no letup the following week at Noranda, in torrential rain and a howling gale, they got hammered again ( though not as much this time ) going down 2 - 0. Carol got carried off injured and recuperated in my panel van, which she said was nice.

They've had thrilling draws against Balcatta, Armadale and Curtin, so a win is due anytime soon !! Special mention to Sarah for her cameo in goals against Balcatta - one of the most fearless, gutsy displays I've ever seen.

Div 2 have also shown great form with very determined wins against Subiaco 3 - 0, Rockingham 4 - 2 and Mandurah 8 - 0 !! Rachel and Sacha ( although just 16 years old ) have done well up forward scoring lots of goals. Lucy is doing a great job as goalie. Special mention to Lauren for a consistant great effort.

A big welcome to new coaches Kevin (div 2) and Rowan (div 4). You have both showed remarkable calm, patience and positive attitude with the ladies.

So bravo ladies and " Carn the Beach ".
